It is very important for you to submit individually to the sites below. I realize that some of the sites charge for inclusion, but the majority do not, so work through the list and get the job done. Most important is the submission to Google, Yahoo! and Bing. Many of these other smaller sites will be tomorrow's leaders, so don't neglect all the other engines listed on the page. Be sure that your website is constructed well, with good meta tags, keyword density and relevant content. It's well worth all the effort! Here is a bit of advice on adding urls; Don't continually add the same url over and over to the same search engine. I recommend that you go through this entire list and add urls. Addurl and Submit Url to as many sites as possible.
If you are a serious webmaster owner, with a real ecommerce store or a B to B website, your rankings will benefit from a yearly listing in Best of the Web. It costs money, but it is well worth it.
